Helping Bay County Families Share a Thanksgiving Meal
For many of us, Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude, good food, and gathering around the table with the people we love most, but for some families that table may look emptier this year.
With the recent government shutdown halting food stamp assistance, more families are struggling to make ends meet, especially with the holidays around the corner. It's a need that feels especially close to our hearts, and one our friend and partner Jeremy McSpadden of Flux Labs couldn’t ignore.
Jeremy has launched a community initiative with one clear goal, to make sure no family in Bay County goes without a Thanksgiving meal.
Through Walmart’s Thanksgiving Meal Program, $40 provides a full meal for a family of 10, everything needed for a warm, traditional holiday dinner. It’s a simple way to make a real difference right here at home. Every dollar donated through Jeremy’s campaign goes directly toward purchasing meals for families across Panama City, Lynn Haven, Callaway, Springfield, Parker, and Panama City Beach. No overhead, no middleman, just neighbors helping neighbors.
If God’s blessed you, this is your chance to bless someone else. “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.” (Proverbs 19:17)
If you’re looking for a way to give back this season, this is it. A small gift can feed an entire family and remind them that their community cares.
